We will once again have expanded gaming at the Myths and Legends Convention.

Hanabi (Two copies!)
Donated by Time Well Spent
Hanabi—named for the Japanese word for “fireworks”—is a cooperative game in which players try to create the perfect fireworks show by placing the cards on the table in the right order.
The card deck consists of five different colors of cards, numbered 1–5 in each color. For each color, the players try to place a row in the correct order from 1–5. Sounds easy, right? Well, not quite, as in this game you hold your cards so that they’re visible only to other players. To assist other players in playing a card, you must give them hints regarding the numbers or the colors of their cards. Players must act as a team to avoid errors and to finish the fireworks display before they run out of cards.
The Castles of Burgundy: The Card Game
Donated by Time Well Spent
The Hundred Years’ War is over and the Renaissance is looming. Conditions are perfect for the princes of the Loire Valley to propel their estates to prosperity and prominence. Through strategic trading and building, clever planning, and careful thought in The Castles of Burgundy: The Card Game, players add settlements and castles, practice trade along the river, exploit silver mines, farm livestock, and more.
Machi Koro
Donated by Time Well Spent
Welcome to the city of Machi Koro. You’ve just been elected Mayor. Congrats! Unfortunately the citizens have some pretty big demands: jobs, a theme park, a couple of cheese factories and maybe even a radio tower. A tough proposition since the city currently consists of a wheat field, a bakery and a single die.
Armed only with your trusty die and a dream, you must grow Machi Koro into the largest city in the region. You will need to collect income from developments, build public works, and steal from your neighbors’ coffers. Just make sure they aren’t doing the same to you!
Codenames
Donated by Time Well Spent
Two rival spymasters know the secret identities of 25 agents. Their teammates know the agents only by their CODENAMES.
In Codenames, two teams compete to see who can make contact with all of their agents first. Spymasters give one-word clues that can point to multiple words on the board. Their teammates try to guess words of the right color while avoiding those that belong to the opposing team. And everyone wants to avoid the assassin.
Codenames: Win or lose, it’s fun to figure out the clues.
Clockwork Kingdom
Donated by Time Well Spent
Clockwork Kingdom is a game in which each player takes the role of a lord attempting to claim the throne in the wake of the king’s death. To start the game, each player has a small army of loyal steam-powered automatons to do their bidding. Each player must choose where to send his servants, whether to get supplies from the market, build useful contraptions in the workshop, or even attempt to acquire powerful alchemy stones, all the while warring with opponents in a number of battlefields in an attempt to control the kingdom by force.
However, players have more at their disposal than simple automatons. Throughout the course of the game, players can also recruit Alchemists, Professors, and Artificers to their cadre of loyal vassals, each with their own unique abilities. To claim the Clockwork Throne, players must make difficult decisions to outwit their opponents in an attempt to gather resources, obtain workers, manufacture contraptions, and dominate battlefields.
Dragon Valley
Donated by Shep’s Games
Times are dire here around Dragon Valley. We’re fighting off waves of orc armies, goblin war machines and even the flying lizards themselves. For now the mountain pass remains secure but our scouts have reported large gatherings in the valley and we’re expecting a full scale assault before the season’s end. If that wasn’t enough to worry about, our neighbors are also preparing for war and petitioning the king for his troops and supplies which are already spread thin. It seems you’ll not only be fighting a war of steel, but one of words as well.
In Dragon Valley, players take turns dividing items such as knights and archers, building materials for blacksmith shops and towers, special powers and even attackers. The attackers consist of dragons, orcs and battering rams that emerge from mountain passes into each player’s lands. After dividing, other players select the group of items they prefer and leave the remainder with the player who did the dividing. After that, players use special cards to interfere with each others plans. The last step each round is for players to setup defenses, destroy the attackers or laying siege on the orc strongholds scattered throughout Dragon Valley.
Doctor Who: The Card Game
Donated by Shiny Garden
Daleks, Cybermen, Sontarans – The list of threats is endless and no place in the universe is ever truly safe from danger, but there is one man who has made it his mission to defend the defenseless, help the helpless, and save everyone he can: a mysterious stranger, a force of nature who has seen his own planet die, a madman with a box.

FAQ
Q: I’ve never played an RPG. What are they and should I try one?
A: RPGs, or role playing games, are fun and interactive. Think of it as a choose your own adventure with a small group of other folks and you make the choices together as a group. The setting can very, from a dungeon crawl or fantasy setting (think Lord of the Rings) to space (Firefly) to futuristic (5th Element).
If you’ve never tried one before, definitely give it a try! You may find a whole new thing you never knew existed that is a lot of fun for you, and if it’s not for you, you only spent a few hours to find that out. When you sign up, look for the sessions that say “Beginners Welcome”.
Q: What’s a GM?
A: That’s the Game Master. They used to be called DMs, or Dungeon Masters, but so many games are set outside of dungeons, the term has migrated. The GM is the person in charge of running the adventure. They tell you what is happening and can answer questions about the game, both rules questions (do I have the range shoot the orc from where I’m standing) and character questions (I climb up the tree, what do I see).
Q: What do you mean, no extra charge?
A: Some conventions charge one fee for entrance and additional fees for unlimited gaming or piecemeal games. We are doing neither. The Myths and Legends Convention badge covers all the gaming, as well as entry into any other convention activities.
